ATV: Also called a four wheeler or all terrain vehicle is a small, open motor vehicle having one seat and three or more wheels fitted with large tires. It's designed chiefly for recreational or work use over roadless, rugged terrain.

Before You Ride Your four wheeler:
-Familiarize yourself with your 4 wheeler before you ride. Read and understand the instruction manual and observe all
safety and warning labels on your moped. Check the controls.
-Wear the proper clothing/pads including helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, wrist guards, gloves and shoes.
-Check the equipment including the nuts and bolts, steering, brakes and controls, frame (for stress and fractures)
and tires (for wear). Inspect your four wheeler thoroughly before each use for loose or missing parts.
When Riding You should:
1.Always wear a helmet and other protective gear.
2.Never ride on public roads - another vehicle could hit you.
3.Never ride under the influence of alcohol or other drugs.
4.Never carry a passenger on a single-rider vehicle.
5.Ride an ATV that's right for your age. The guidelines are:
a. Age 6 and older - Under 70cc
b. Age 12 and older - 70cc to 90cc
c. Age 16 and older - Over 90cc

Of all the places to get stuck: there’s not a stump, tree or fencepost in sight to attach your winch or come-along to. So, how do you get out?
It’s pretty simple. Fashion a sapling (two inches in diameter) into a four-foot-long staff and pound it solidly into the ground at a sharp angle pointing away from the quad. Now attach your tow rope to the sapling at the point where it meets the ground. This should give you enough of an edge to make it back onto solid ground.
CHECKING THE OIL
Proper maintenance should begin with you checking the oil level before you start the machine EVERY TIME. Make it a habit! With all the different engine models and variations between models, it's important that you know how to check the oil properly. There isn't much continuity from one manufacturer to another, so I highly recommend that you read your owner's manual for specific instructions.
Example:Engines with automotive style dipsticks... Most U.S. made engines require that you screw the dipstick all the way closed, in order to get a correct reading. On the other hand, imported engines require that you simply insert the dipstick in the filler tube without screwing it in to get the proper reading.
For engines that don't use a dipstick setup, you will usually see a mark or line down in the filler hole to shown the proper level. Even so, unless you know exactly how much oil the engine is supposed to hold, it's pretty difficult to always get it right. Also remember that too much oil can cause problems also. If you don't have an owner's manual, and the exact instructions aren't labeled on the engine, I recommend that you contact the manufacturer for a copy, or ask them to explain the details for you.
