Before You Ride Your Scooter:
-Familiarize yourself with your scooter before you ride. Read and understand the instruction manual and observe all safety and warning labels on your motor scooter. Check the controls.
-Wear the proper clothing/pads including helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, wrist guards, gloves and shoes.
-Check the scooter's equipment including the nuts and bolts, steering, brakes and controls, frame (for stress and fractures) and tires (for wear). Inspect your scooter thoroughly before each use for loose or missing parts.
When Riding Your Scooter:
-Do not dart out of driveways or from between parked cars.
-Stop at all stop signs. Be careful when checking traffic and don't swerve when looking over your shoulder.

Q: My scooter is all powered up, but I'm not going anywhere. What's going on?
A: First, turn off the power and wait for 5 seconds. The circuit breaker might be tripped. Then, check your brakes. If your brake is pulled or too tight, the wheels can't spin. The tires on your gas scooter are pneumatic (air filled) tires. Most tires require 85psi and can be filled via the valve on the side of the tire. It is very important that the tires have the proper inflation. Although the scooter has been prepared to ride once out of the box, due to long shipping distances and elevation changes we have yet to see one scooter with the correct pressure right out of the box. Low tire pressure will make the scooter feel sluggish and a loss of power will be felt.
You may notice that the valve on a 22.5cc front tire is turned to the side a little and is not straight out. This is intentional to keep the valve from hitting the frame of the scooter as the wheel turns. If the valve is not angled you will hear a clicking sound every time the tire makes a rotation. To cure this, let all of the air out of the tire. Hold the tire with one hand and the rim with the other. Twist the tire one way and the rim the other. This will cause the tire to "slip" on the rim and make the valve turn to one side. Once this is achieved refill the tire to 85psi.
